Membership
The Institute’s research staff includes the following positions: Chief Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, Research Fellow, and Junior Research Fellow.
A Chief Research Fellow may be appointed if the individual holds a doctoral or equivalent academic degree and has at least six years of research experience.
A Senior Research Fellow may be appointed if the individual holds a doctoral or equivalent academic degree and has at least three years of research experience.
A Research Fellow may be appointed if the individual holds active Ph.D. student status. Engagement in the Institute’s research projects and active participation in scientific research and publications is required.
A Junior Research Fellow may be appointed if the individual holds a master’s degree and demonstrates an interest in participating in research activities. This position is intended for early-career researchers, including those at the initial stage of their doctoral studies. Affiliation is not mandatory for Junior Research Fellows.
Appointment to the positions of Chief, Senior, or Research Fellow requires that the candidate be an affiliated academic staff member of European University.
As an exception, individuals who do not hold an academic position at European University and are therefore not affiliated with it may be appointed as research staff, provided they possess a substantiated scientific qualification or experience and are not affiliated with any other academic or research institution.
